Fiction and Nonfiction Manuscripts

Whether you’re writing a novel or crowdfunding a new tabletop role-playing adventure setting on Kickstarter or Indiegogo, I can help you attain a professional text and index so that your book is polished and ready for publishing.

Line Editing

Once your manuscript has gone through a developmental edit, next is a line edit where I carefully structure your sentences to flow smoothly while keeping your tone and voice.

Copy Editing

Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are my specialties, and your manuscript will have that polished look ready for publication.

After your manuscript has been copyedited and gone through layout, proofreading is your last line of defense for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

A manuscript containing reference material needs a good index in the back. Your readers will appreciate a well-designed index to search topics.

Matthew Redding

Editor and Indexer

I’m currently a copy editor for Worldbuilding Magazine and an editor and indexer for Smunchy Games.

One of my interests is tabletop role-playing games including Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder 2, and Godbound. I am an amateur radio operator and an avid classical music and opera lover. I also love to travel and have been to many fascinating places. I’d say I have a very eclectic range of interests.

Sample Edit

Every job is unique and needs its own approach to editing. I can provide you with a sample edit and advice on where to go from there.
